What equipment do I need to make a banana bread recipe with pudding?

You will require the following materials for making banana bread pudding:

Pan or Baking Dish

Select a pan or baking dish that will fit your banana bread pudding. If it is oven-safe, a cake tin or ceramic dish works well.

Weighing Scale:

Always use a weighing scale to get the best results and that perfect bake!

Mixing Bowls

Prepare and combine your components in a set of mixing bowls. For different ingredients in the recipe, different sizes may be useful.

Whisk

Smooth ingredient blending and incorporation require the use of a whisk. It guarantees that your custard mixture has a consistent consistency.

Saucepan:

To warm the milk and dissolve the brown sugar for the egg mixture, you’ll need a saucepan. Make sure it can be used on a flame.

Bread Knife:

Use a bread knife to cut the banana bread into the appropriate shapes for your baking dish.

Spoons and cups to measure:

When baking, precise measurements are essential. To make sure the components are correctly balanced, use a set of measuring spoons and cups.

Bowl Strainer:

A bowl strainer can help remove any lumps or contaminants from the custard mixture so that it is silky smooth.

Baking Oven:

Set your oven’s temperature to the necessary level to bake the banana bread pudding.

Cooling Rack:

After baking, a cooling rack promotes air circulation, keeping the pudding’s bottom from getting soggy.

Electric Beater or Hand Mixer:

Although not absolutely required, using an electric beater or hand mixer can speed up the whisking and beating of ingredients.

Optional:

Spatula: To ensure you get every last piece of your delicious combination, use a spatula, preferably one made of heat-resistant silicone.

What ingredients do I need to make a bread pudding recipe with bananas?

Bread:

For the best base for the banana bread pudding, choose freshly made banana bread. You can use store-bought, however,  if you love baking as much as I do, you can go ahead and give this banana bread recipe a try.

Eggs:

Egg here has got the main character vibes, which imparts silky smoothness and richness to
your custard due to its thickening properties. It also helps your custard get that gel like finish
because of the way egg is cooked here in this recipe. The yolk here will provide the
creaminess to your custard, making each spoonful an absolute delight.

Milk:

Just like the egg, your custard is not complete without the use of milk. Milk is used in this
recipe to get the structure and delightful richness.

Brown sugar:

Enhances flavor with an additional layer of caramel sweetness. It provides color and sweetness to the pudding.

Raisins:

I have used brown sugar, it adds moisture to the pudding, while also adding depth of color
and flavor.

Cinnamon powder:

Much like our previous recipe, the addition of cinnamon powder here gives a subtle
warmth of its distinctive flavor, all while elevating the overall texture to another level. If you are a cinnamon lover like me, consider making this for your breakfast tomorrow. Thank me later.

Banana Bread Slices:

Without this, it will be a simple pudding, so make sure you do not miss out on this one. This
recipe is otherworldly with the use of banana bread. You can use homemade or store–
bought. If you would like to make one yourself, check out my banana bread recipe link below:

How to make a banana bread pudding recipe?

Initial Prep:

Begin by soaking the raisins in water, and allow them 15-20 minutes in water to ensure you have
plump and juicy raisins. While the raisins are having their me time, preheat your oven to 180-
degree Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit), this will ensure your pudding bakes evenly.

Prepare the Custard:

In a saucepan, combine milk and sugar. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until
the sugar dissolves completely. Be careful not to let the milk overheat, as this can cause the
eggs to cook prematurely. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the
heat.

Whisk in the eggs:

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Slowly pour the warm milk and sugar
mixture into the beaten eggs, whisking continuously to make sure everything is mixed nicely.
Now add the magic spice cinnamon to the custard mix and stir well.

Strain the Custard:

To ensure a silky-smooth custard, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a
separate bowl. This will remove any lumps or impurities and leave you with a velvety
custard. Set the strained custard aside.

Assembling the pudding:

Cut the banana bread slices as required to fit your baking dish. You can leave them in
halves or quarters, depending on the size of your dish.
Now, in a baking dish arrange the banana bread slices in a single layer to create a flavorful
bed for your custard to rest on. Pour the strained custard mixture over the bread. Spread the
soaked raisins evenly on top for a burst of flavor. Slice the ripe bananas and arrange them
on the pudding. Sprinkle some sugar on top of the banana slices to create a caramelized
crust while baking.

It’s time to Bake:

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake at 180-degree Celsius (356-degree
Fahrenheit) for 40 minutes. At the 20-minute mark, check the pudding’s progress to ensure
it’s not browning too fast.

Adding finishing touches:

Once the pudding is beautifully golden brown, you can drizzle some condensed milk or icing
sugar on top or simply cut yourself a chunk of this yummy goodness.
Your caramelized banana bread pudding is ready to be served. Relish this delight with family
or call over your friends and spread happiness with this recipe.
If you are sharing the festivities with your friends and family, to bring more joy to the
