What ingredients do I need to make Funfetti mug cake, no Egg?
Butter
Butter makes the cake hold a good shape and adds flavor. I made a batch using oil but did not like it as much as the butter version. So, I decided to add butter.
Flour
I used all-purpose flour to make this mug cake. It came out soft and fluffy, so that you can use all-purpose or AP flour.
Honey
Honey is a naturally occurring sugar that adds flavor and moisture to the mug cake. I used it just because why not?
Baking powder
Baking powder can be added to make the cake rise. The batter has no other leavening agents, so you have to use an artificial leavening agent to make the cake rise. A leavening agent means something that will help the batter to rise. The baking powder reacts with the liquid in the recipe to create air bubbles and carbon dioxide.

Frequently Asked Questions about funfetti mug cake:
How to know when my mug cake is done?
Yes, this is the only tricky part of the recipe. Every microwave oven is different. You can start with a minute. In my microwave, it took a minute at the highest power. You need to check it using a skewer.
-Why is my funfetti mug cake overflowing?
Happens when you put in too much batter. Make sure you fill only 2/3 rd of the cup. Cup sizes vary, so whichever cup you use, make sure the batter fills 2/3 of the cup.
-Why is my funfetti mug cake not enough to fill a mug?
Maybe the mug you chose is too big. These recipes are perfect for one serving, and your mug may be bigger than one serving size. I recommend putting the batter in another cup or mug rather than placing it all in one big one. This makes sure the brownie bakes evenly.
-Can I take it out of the mug?
Unfortunately, no. You have to dig right in and enjoy.
–Do I need to grease the mug?
No need for lining and greasing. Just pour the batter and bake. You should be good.
