What equipment do I need to make a banana overnight oats recipe?

A small bowl or a mug- Okay these two are so adorable and perfect for mug recipes. You need to have them in your kitchen right away!

A set of teaspoons and tablespoons: This stainless steel measuring spoon set is perfect. I use the one that my pastry college provided to me. I did use the plastic ones but let me tell you, yes they may look boring but stainless steel is best for long-term and safe use.

Big Bowl: I use this one because, when I shoot videos, it reflects the light and you also get to see all the ingredients. It can also be used in the microwave.

What ingredients do I need to make a banana overnight oats recipe?

Firstly, you will need oats (I use instant oats, which are readily available and easy to cook. Click here to read more.) and banana and yogurt to soak and flavor the oats. These three ingredients form the main body for the overnight oats. The oats absorb the yogurt and swell up. However, you can choose to use any plant-based yogurt too.

The mashed banana adds natural sweetness and a banana flavor to the oats. Bananas are also rich in fiber, potassium, and vitamins.

Thirdly, I have used honey to provide sweetness to the oats. I am not saying honey is low-calorie, but it is definitely a better choice than sugar.

The yogurt adds a creamy texture to the oats and also provides a good source of protein as well as calcium.

Cinnamon powder adds a warm, comforting flavor to the oats and also has antioxidant properties.
