What ingredients are required to make apples crisp in a mug?
Apple
Get the best red juicy apple or you can opt for some golden apples too, for your apple mug crisp, you can either peel the skin or chop it with the skin itself for this recipe. Apple is abundantly available in this season making it the perfect fruit to go with the warm hints of cinnamon. I used one apple for this recipe, after chopping it measured 65 grams. It will provide sweetness and that fruity bite to your mug apple crisp.
Not just apples, but winters bring out the best in fruits and I’m sharing two recipes using more of winter favorites, strawberries and oranges!

Cinnamon Powder
Nothing can go wrong when you combine apple and cinnamon. Both of them complement each other so well and are appropriate to create the best recipes for fall and winter. Cinnamon provides warmth and cozy comfort with its warm yet spicy flavor.
I recently made a banana bread recipe where I used the combination of cinnamon and bananas and it turned out flavorful. All I am saying is, that you cannot go wrong with warm spice combinations in your recipes this season.
Brown Sugar
For sweetness in your apple crisp and to provide some moisture. Once baked it will also provide that delicious caramel flavor to your apple crisp.
Melted Butter
Melted butter will help enhance that caramel flavor. It will help mix everything and hold the structure of the crisp. It will also impart richness and beautiful color to the crisp.
Oats
Oats are used here for the crisp, when baked they will provide the crunch to your crisp and the most amazing part is the health benefits of both apples and oats making this a guilt-free snack or breakfast option. They also help hold the structure of your crisp. Oats are versatile as an ingredient which is why they make a great option for quick breakfast recipes or snacks. If you are like me and oats and milk is not your jam, go ahead and give these oat recipes a try. Not only do they taste amazing, they are super easy to make too.

How to make Apple crisp in a mug?
With all of my recipes, I make sure that the procedure is beginner-friendly and easy to make and this recipe certainly falls under this category.
Start by chopping some apples with or without skin whichever way you prefer, and add it to your favorite mug along with 1/4th teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 tbsp of brown sugar and mix gently.
In a separate bowl, combine oats, melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and flour. Also, add a pinch of salt to balance out the flavors add some crushed cashews, and mix gently. Save some crushed cashews to add on top later for that extra crunch and burst of nutty flavor.
Pour this mix on top of the apple cinnamon mix into your mug and pop the mug into your microwave.
Bake it at the highest power for around 1-3 minutes. The exact time may vary depending on your microwave; I found 1.5 minutes to be perfect.
Once your mug apple crisp is ready, serve it with some vanilla ice cream sprinkle the reserved crushed cashews on top, and enjoy your warm and cozy dessert.
My ideal way to enjoy this warm dessert is to put on my plushies or my favorite pair of socks turn on my favorite show on Netflix, grab a binky, and find a comfortable and cozy spot to binge on this treat.
